Table Hosts

Why host a table?

  • It is an easy and fun way to get your friends and others from your fellowship involved in something that you enjoy – serving internationals!
  • A faith-stretching experience for you as you trust God to draw friends to IFI.
  • Also you can encourage your friends to grow as they reach out to the internationals God has brought to us.

What does a table host do?

  • Before the social: Review table host guidelines (HERE!), pray, invite friends (via mail, in person, email, and phone), try to fill a table of 7, and help friends get registered.
  • The night of the social: Arrive early, greet guests at your table, enjoy the meal, encourage conversation, and distribute and collect info.
  • After the social: Follow up with guests who attended, see if they have questions, and encourage them to get involved. Follow up with guests who couldn’t attend and encourage them to get involved in other ways.

Why an IFI Ice Cream Social?

  • A meeting place for those with similar interests
  • An event that shows how God’s love is being extended globally in partnership with spiritually vibrant international students through IFI
  • An inspiring program of international worship and testimonies from current students, volunteers and staff
  • An invitation to partner with IFI by praying, giving, and/or serving
  • An excuse to eat ice cream!
